Motorcycle Sun Glasses Help You See The Road Better
February 9, 2007 on 6:34 pm | In motorcycle sun glasses, fishing sunglasses, arnette sunglasses, sun glasses, eyeglasses | No CommentsMotorcycle sun glasses, fishing sunglasses – whatever you call them, they have the same properties. These sunglasses have polarized lenses and are shatterproof making them exceptional as motorcycle sun glasses. When you ride along on your motorcycle, there is always the chance that some small piece of debris will fly up and hit you. With these designer sun glasses, you get double the protection.
Many people have the idea that motorcycle sun glasses are heavy glasses, much like a helmet. They are extremely light, with some of them such as the Arnette sunglasses being made of nylon frames. The added feature of being able to add your prescription to the lenses means that you don’t have to go to an optician to get special prescription sunglasses.
With the advantage of being able to order your motorcycle sun glasses on line, you can browse the online catalog of your favorite designer. Look at the Nike, Costa del Mar, Hobie and many other types of sunglasses to find the style and color that you want. Then all you have to do is add your prescription as an email attachment and you will get prescription sunglasses ready to wear.
The companies that manufacture the motorcycle sun glasses take great care in the process to make sure the lenses are specially handcrafted and provide precise vision. The lenses are polarized in these sunglasses so that you do not get any glare from the reflection of the sun when it strikes the road. The lenses are made specifically for your prescription and you will be able to see just as well with prescription sunglasses as you can with your regular eyeglasses.
The lenses for motorcycle sun glasses go through strict testing to make sure they can withstand the pressure of the wind and extreme temperatures. Wearing regular or prescription sunglasses is just as important during the winter as it is during the summer. The reflection from the sun and the snow can damage your eyes just as much as UV rays can. You can ride along in style with the sunglasses you need and look cool.
If you like motorcycles, you need motorcycle sun glasses.

Skiing Sunglasses
February 9, 2007 on 6:26 pm | In skiing sunglasses, skiing glasses, prescription galsses, ski sunglasses | No CommentsSnow skiing is becoming an increasingly popular form of sport and recreation all over the world. Places on some of the world’s best mountainside have developed and come on to the map only because they became popular as skiing destinations. Skiing is great way to experience the snow and the right gear for the sport can make it all the more enjoyable.
Skiing sunglasses, although not on the top of the skiing equipment list, are nonetheless very important for additional safety. They are responsible for protecting the eyes during high-speed tear down slopes from the flying ice and debris. For those who prefer skiing in wooded areas as opposed to the piste, skiing glasses are indispensable to save the eyes from damage due to overhanging branches and twigs. However, the main purpose of ski-glasses is to keep the sun out of the eyes and allow skiers to have clear vision of the path before them. These sunglasses also keep the ultraviolet rays of the sun out of the eyes and thus protect the delicate corneas form damage. Many a times, people choose the wrong sort of skiing sunglasses that don’t fit properly or those with lenses that shatter at high speeds, and end up compromising the safety of their eyes.
If a few factors are carefully considered, then even novices can pick up skiing sunglasses best suited for them. The first factor is the color of the lenses, which depends up on the skiing conditions. The general rule is that the darker the light, the lighter the lens color should be. Next comes the fit of the sunglasses. While judging the fit, individuals should be sure to check that the strap is flexible and strong and that it fits perfectly with the helmet. Those who wear prescription glasses should ensure that they fit beneath the ski-goggles. The last, but perhaps the most important feature of ski sunglasses that need to be examined is the fogging of the lenses. Generally, single lens glasses fog up more easily than multi-lens glasses. Also, certain lenses are treated with chemicals to reduce fogging. Individuals also need to check the peripheral vision of the ski sunglasses and opt for those that offer the maximum view.

Stylish Performance and Sport Sunglasses
August 18, 2006 on 8:28 pm | In sun glass manufacturers, sunglasses for sports, polycarbonate lenses, glass lenses, sports eyewear, interchangeable lenses | No CommentsOver the past decade or so extreme sports have become a newfound favorite past time. There are so many extreme activities out there from rock climbing to in line skating. Because of this sun glass manufacturers have been motivated to create sunglasses for sports.
To meet the demands of the consumers needs, these manufacturers have done a ton of research to create several different styles of sunglasses for different activities. Many new components were designed and introduced.
Lenses
The most important part of a pair of sunglasses is of course the lenses. They have now created lenses in many different colors as to enhance your sporting experience.
Polycarbonate lenses have become very popular because of the impact resistant quality. It makes them very handy to have because of your chances of dropping your sunglasses while involved in extreme sports.
Polarized lenses are great for reducing the glare that can come off of water or snow. So if you are into canoeing or skiing theses lenses are your best choice.
Glass lenses are great for more casual sports, such as golfing. They help very much with visualization, but are rarely used for extreme sports because of the chances of shattering the lenses.
What’s good for your sport?
Many sports have their own sunglasses designed just for that one sport. This has increased the sales of sports eyewear because these are being created to fit the need of a specific sport.
Of course if you like a multitude of sports there have been multipurpose sports eyewear created just for that. They come with the option of interchangeable lenses to better fit your needs.
Many professional sportsmen have endorsement deals with different companies. Next time you are watching a sporting event be sure to check for logos to see what brands they are using. If it works for them, it could very well work for you.

Ray Ban Sunglasses: Timeless Quality And Comfort
July 11, 2006 on 1:30 am | In raybans, raybans sunglasses, quality eyewear, rayban aviators, imitated eyewear | No CommentsThe performance of RayBans as eyewear is almost close to legendary.
No eyewear has been as much imitated in styling and has sold as many as the RayBan. The amazing thing is, the RayBans top-selling designs have been around for close to 70 years but are still selling and being worn today.
There are several reasons for this. RayBan sunglasses are quality eyewear. It stands for exceptional value, classic style and excellent if not lucky market exposure. It is not often that something that is worn by the father can still be in fashion today with the son. An amazing feat that RayBan eyewear would not have accomplished if it does look so good and work so well.
It enjoyed to have continued and prestigious exposure to the public. One can only look at the pictures of famous American Generals of World War II and the heroes of the time and you will find the RayBan. Famous Hollywood actors and actresses can be seen sporting a RayBan.
In the 1980’s when there was a wide array of sunglasses to choose from, the films “Blues Brothers” featured main character wearing the RayBan. Even the famous television series Miami Vice has Don Johnson wearing the RayBan. The popularity of the RayBan was further increased when Tom Cruise appeared in “Top Gun” wearing the RayBan Aviators. In 1992, the film Reservoir Dogs, which has been acclaimed as having the best opening sequence have characters appearing in Ray Bans.
The continued exposure of RayBans does not speak only of good marketing savvy if it ever is. Rather no product, no matter how great the people running the campaign, can achieve the popularity and prestige that RayBans reached if the product will not deliver as it promised.
Today, RayBans are the most imitated eyewear anywhere on Earth.
RayBans Aviators were originally designed for the U.S. Airforce in 1937 as protection for glare and UV rays. It was later released to the public the following year. And very soon achieved popularity. But the most imitated of all RayBans is the Wayfarer. It achieved near cult status when Tom Cruise appeared in Risky Business wearing one.
The Aviator has now evolved into having different kinds of lens treatment while the Wayfarer has been fixed with spring hinges and polarized lenses. Both have been recreated with ophthalmic frames and the materials being used are ultra light resins and special metal alloys.
The RayBans today come in 43 different styles and modern designs that are straightforward but always maintaining the same quality, comfort and function.
RayBans have created eyewear with Kid Friendly features to encourage kids to wear eye protection. Children spends more time under the sun than adults and are more susceptible to harmful ultra violet rays while it is wide knowledge that kids are more at risk because their eyes doesn’t block as much ultra violet rays from the sun than adults.
RayBan’s kid version of the most popular RayBan styles features lenses that are polycarbonate, have smooth contours, flat temples, great nose pads that are crafted for comfort, enhanced fit, flex hinges and the same durability and quality that comes with every RayBan sunglasses. These Junior RayBan editions are designed to fit children from age eight to twelve and are meant to encourage kids to wearing sun protection for their eyes.

Polarized Sports Sun Glasses: Increasing your Chances of Winning the Game
July 11, 2006 on 1:19 am | In vision, polarized sunglasses, polarized lenses, popular brands, see more clearly | No CommentsDo you enjoy playing a sport, but oftentimes feel as if you have to squint because a glare has affected your vision? If this glare is annoying you or causing you to perform below your athletic abilities, you should invest in a pair of polarized sports sun glasses.
Polarized sun glasses for sports are widely popular among bikers, joggers, boaters, golfers, tennis players, skiers, and many other sports players. Because polarized lenses have the ability to reduce or eliminate the glare caused by the sun, water, or other bright light sources and reflectors, they are one of the most purchased types of sun glasses on the market. How do polarized sports sun glasses work?
When light is reflected from any type of non-metallic surface – whether it is pavement on a roadway or simply water – the light becomes polarized, vibrating in one general direction. If the surface is flat or smooth, the light is typically polarized in a horizontal direction. This polarized light can cause a great deal of glare for your eyes. This glare can be both distracting and dangerous to your safety.
Think about it: If you are jogging on a road and the sun’s reflection off the flat asphalt ahead is causing such a glare that you can’t tell if you are maintaining a safe enough distance from traffic, your safety is being compromised. With vertically oriented polarized lenses, a pair of polarized sun glasses has the ability to block horizontally polarized light. Typically polarized sun glasses can block out 99% of glare. What other benefits do polarized sports sun glasses have?
As well as blocking glare, polarized sun glasses also have the ability to help you see more clearly. Polarized sun glasses allow you to see more detail, deeper colors, and better contrast.
Polarized sun glasses will also help you avoid squinting – which is very important when playing any type of sport. Therefore, your eyes will feel relaxed and comfortable. Because they are also lightweight and thin, polarized sun glasses are easy to wear. What brands of polarized sports sun glasses are the best?
There is a large variety of polarized sun glasses on the market today. Several popular brands include Bolle, Smith, Oakley, Ice Tech Sunglasses, and Haber. Many of these brands offer polarized sun glasses that wrap around your face for the ultimate comfort.

Baseball 2006 Which Teams Will Earn Their Tickets to the World Series
June 14, 2006 on 3:00 pm | In Sunglasses | No CommentsPredictions for Major League Baseball 2006 season.
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
Eighty-six years after the infamous Black Sox scandal, the Chicago White Sox are again the champions of baseball, while the game is again on the verge of disgrace. The BALCO hearings in 2005 brought to light the rampant steroid abuse in the major leagues, a problem that many people suspected for years. Fans once cheered as seemingly insurmountable records were toppled by seemingly superhuman players. Now they are jeering the exploits of these juiced-up antiheroes.
At the center of the controversy is Barry Bonds, the 41 year-old San Francisco Giant who needs only six home runs to eclipse Babe Ruth’s lifetime total, and 48 to surpass Hank Aaron as baseball’s home run king. A book called Game of Shadows thoroughly details allegations of Bonds’ steroid use. While he may or may not break the home run record, his legacy looks to be clouded in controversy. Some feel that Bonds should be erased from the record books. Others feel that an asterisk should be placed next to his name. Still others claim that his records should stand no matter what, and are rooting for him to overtake Aaron’s legendary mark.
One long-standing record that many fans do hope will fall is the Chicago Cubs’ World Series drought. It has been 98 years since the most popular team in the Windy City won baseball’s biggest prize. Heartbreak has been the byword in recent seasons, with the legion of Cubbies fans watching in horror as their team implodes again and again in the playoffs. This year’s team has a great deal of promise, with a strong pitching staff anchoring the squad. The National League Central Division should be decided between the Cubs and the Houston Astros, who lost to the Chicago White Sox in last season’s World Series.
As baseball’s defending champions, the White Sox will fancy their chances of retaining the title. They have only gotten stronger in the off-season, adding Javier Vazquez and Jim Thome to an already-dominant squad. A potent pitching staff should shut down other teams with little trouble, while Thome, Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye offer plenty of pop at the plate. The White Sox may not be the most popular team in their own city, but they’re still the best team in the league and should prove it again this season.
Two other teams expecting to challenge for the World Series will renew their legendary rivalry again this year. The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees have already sparred in spring training, with the number of hit batsmen on the rise even before the start of the regular season. The Yankees are a long way from their glory days on the 1990s. Ever since Arizona Diamondback Luis Gonzalez hit a game-winning single in the 2001 World Series, New York has not been the force that they once were. The Red Sox, on the other hand, broke their championship jinx by winning the World Series in 2004, beating the Yankees in an historic series en route. While the Toronto Blue Jays look capable of pushing their wealthier rivals
, the safe money is on the Yankees and Red Sox taking the playoff spots.

Two Possible Solutions to the Barry Bonds Steroid Controversy
June 13, 2006 on 3:00 pm | In Sunglasses | No CommentsThis article proposes two possible solutions to the Barry Bonds steroid controversy.
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
On April 8, 1974, Hank Aaron passed Babe Ruth as Major League Baseball’s All Time Home Run Leader. He did it without the aid of the latest scientific and chemical breakthroughs and developments know to mankind.
If Bonds does surpass Aaron and Ruth, there should be a BIG asterisk placed in the record book. I would be very surprised if that is allowed to happen. After all, Roger Maris’ asterisk was still a legitimate record.
I have two solutions to the Bonds controversy. I doubt, however, either would ever be seriously considered.
- The commissioner has a meeting with Bonds. He is asked to quietly retire and no further inquiries into his use of steroids by MLB would be done. His current totals would stand, but he would be denied the All Time Home Run Leader. If he refused, then all evidence that MLB has will be turned over the courts and MLB would cooperate fully with any investigation. He would also be suspended until the investigation is over.
- Have every pitcher in MLB pitch around him. Walk him on every bat. He would NEVER get a hittable ball pitched to him.
Now I know Bonds, his lawyers, the San Francisco Giants organization, the Players’ Union, and others in MLB would complain and raise so much of a ruckus that the sports pages would be filled for months with exclusive coverage of the matter.
At that point, every piece of information and data would be presented to the public. Tie him up in so much controversy that he couldn’t hold up under the pressure.
I know these two solutions would never be seriously considered. After all, he has rights, as we all do. But that is what I would do if I have any decision making power in the situation.
I know Bonds would state that everyone was out to get him. He would declare everyone who was against him as racist, and that no one wants a black man to succeed. The funny thing is that the record he is trying to break is held by a black man, and he is even wavering on whether Bonds record assault is legitimate.
Over the next weeks and months, watch Bonds stats and see what happens. If he indeed does hit fewer home runs and get more walks, you can be sure he will speak out that he is the target of racists he is being treated unfairly, and nothing has been proven dealing with his alleged steroid use.
After all, wasn’t he quoted making racists statements in the book Game of Shadows?
So I guess he is correct in stating racism is involved it this controversy. The sad thing is, HIS racism is what perhaps caused the problem in the first place
, along with that green monster called jealousy.
